Metz Announce 64 AF-1 Flashgun

With a ground-breaking guide number of 64 (ISO100 @ 200mm) and a 24-200mm zoom head, the new Metz 64 AF-1 delivers more power than any other TTL hot shoe flash. The 64 AF-1 also incorporates a new RAPID function, enabling photographers to shorten recycle times in fast paced situations to make sure every shot counts.

Designed and made by Metz in Germany, photographers will be able to count on the quality of this new benchmark flashgun that also has new features such as a large colour touch screen display for easy access to the flashgun settings. The intelligent nature of this flashgun even has one touch easy access to exposure compensation settings, an under exposure warning on the main screen in case the huge power this flashgun can offer was not enough for the subject!

For great bounce and fill lighting Metz have incorporated a second flash tube in the main body of the flashgun with variable output settings to add some direct lighting for portraits etc. to help create perfect images. For more creative lighting, the 64 AF-1 offers Master and Slave settings for off camera flash which are fully compatible with the camera manufacturers own systems, as well as a Servo function for a simple approach to creative lighting where a Master controller is not available.

A huge number of other settings are customisable within the TTL, Auto, Manual, & Strobe capabilities and for professional and enthusiast photographers who like different settings for different situations, there are also 4 programmable user pre-sets so that you can easily save and access the ideal set up for your particular location.
